Anime ReMix 3.0!

Hey guys, OverCoat here! Carbunk1e has just “finished” AR3, and it looks something like this: http://www.animeremix.org/. It is for the most part finished, but please post on the forum and let Carbunk1e know what you think!

Expect some heightened activity on the site soon! I have a project of
my own [and some other trackers :)] that I’m sure any anime music
enthusiast would appreciate.

People’s ReMix Competition: Anime XI starts!

PRC:A just started again.

“It’s time for a new PRC:A! Due to popular demand, we’re expanding PRC:A from a weekly competition to a monthly, with 3 weeks to mix and 1 week to vote. Therefore, entries to PRCA11 will be due by 11:59pm Pacific time, April 30th, 2006. Voting will happen during the first week of May.

“The winners from last week were GrayLightning and Dhsu, who have decided that their choice for this week is the theme song to the classic American cartoon Ducktales. You can get the song either of the following two links:

http://www.mattfacer.com/sounds.php
http://mduo13.no-ip.org/misc/ducktales.mp3

“A note, unlike the other PRCs, the PRC:A allows the previous week’s winners to enter and compete. (The only rule is that if you win 3 weeks in a row then you’re disqualified from the next round, and you don’t get to pick the song that time, either.)

“Good luck mixing, and I hope we get a good response here.”

People’s Remix Competition: Anime #10: Open (Theme) Season!

mDuo13 writes:
“Anime Remix is dying for some activity, so we’re reviving the PRC:A, yes, the People’s Remix Competition: Anime Edition. But, we need your help: we need remixers to participate so we get some serious turnout here.

PRC:A X has a special theme: instead of picking a single song, it’s Open (Theme) Season, which means that you can pick any opening (OP) theme you want (American and all foreign cartoons count too, remember!) and remix it for the competition! So, if you’re hankering to remix Tank!, the Simpsons theme, Cruel Angel’s Thesis, READY STEADY GO, or any other more obscure opening theme, now’s the time to do it!
If you don’t have any ideas, you can always remix the first Full Metal Alchemist OP and submit it to the FMA Project while you’re at it.

For the full details, rules of the competition, go to the thread on Anime Remix.

Remixes will be due by Sunday, March 26th, at 11:59pm PST. That should give you plenty of time, so I’m looking forward to seeing some great remixes.

READY? STEADY? GO!”

Anime Remix 3.0 Testing in Progress

As I’ve completed modules in part of Anime Remix 3.0, I’ve selected a group of testers to clean up the site.  I’ve had a lot of input from djpretzel, mDuo, and others on the site design and concepts.  I’ve developed my own backend that will allow for very easy maintenance of the site, and I still have maintained the idea of customization via skins.

I’m currently looking for a Test Manager to ensure the testers are testing according to the rules as well as making sure that each Error/Bug is properly handled.  Let me know if you’re interested via email.

We’re currently restructuring our administration and the way a few things work.  It’ll fix some issues and questions that were previously raised.

Anime ReMix Halloween Compo is ON!!!

It’s that time again. Time for…

ANIME REMIX HALLOWEEN COMPETITION 2K5!

The objective, of course, is to complete a song by Halloween! The rules are mostly the same as last time, and they are, as follows:
-Complete one song by midnight, October 31st GMT [Grenich Mean Time, to be absolutely fair to everyone] and send it through any means necessary to the leader of the competition.

-The song must be from an animated series, movie, or video. This is more clearly defined in the Anime ReMix site FAQ, which explains what is and what isn’t allowed here.

-The song must have “halloween elements.” Scariness, spookiness, craziness. For further definition, ask the project leader for specifics.

-Songs which are late will not be allowed.

-In the event of only one submission, the one contestant wins by default.

-After all the submissions are in, the rest of the community can e-mail or use a forum PM to relay their choice for best song.

-Have fun! [obligatory cheesy rule]
