Mazedude’s Star Spangled Chips EP Available on Bandcamp

You may recall a previous post that about Chris “Mazedude” Getman‘s astonishing bonus EP Star-Spangled Chips last year. You may also recall that Mazedude’s EP was only available to those who who pre-ordered his upcoming album which honors two discs worth of timeless American composers and arrangements from popular titles such as Bioshock, Dante’s Inferno, Super Meat Boy, Civilization IV, Diablo, and much more.

Although American Pixels is not slated to come out until later this year, Mazedude has just released the more-than-outstanding Star Spangled Chips EP on his Bandcamp page. This is probably a winning choice for those who want to preview Mr. Getman’s incredibly enterprising talents as both a musician and composer. Mazedude Announces Pre-Order EP, Talks About His Anticipated Album

That being said, we couldn’t stop ourselves from talking about Mazedude’s upcoming release that’s going to be downright ridiculous. If you don’t know who Mazedude is, chances are that you probably live under a rock. With over fifty outstanding remixes, Chris “Mazedude” Getman stands as one of the most popular composers on OverClocked ReMix. His 2005 debut album, American Dreams, has garnered attention from well-established talents such as Jeremy Soule, Jack Wall, Peter McConnell, and Doom lead designer John Romero. Breaking out of his seven-year hiatus, Mazedude’s newest follow-up American Pixels is definitely going to wreck 2012.

In honor of his long-awaited follow up, Mazedude has just released an amazing pre-order bonus EP entitled Star Spangled Chips that underlines his progressive talent as both a composer and remixer; like his last album, this EP exclusively covers American arrangements from Myst IV: Revelation, Medal of Honor, Bioshock, and Grim Fandango. While this album has been slated for a 2012 release, you should pre-order your copy of American Pixels to get your hands on pure win.

Mazedude, aka Christopher Getman has joined the ranks of djpretzel and Protricity by having 50 remixes posted on Overclocked ReMix.  “All Outta Gum,” a Duke Nukem 3D ReMix is a fun and quirky homage to the original, complete with retro samples and charm.  Congratulations on having 50 posted ReMixes, Mazedude!  What’s your favorite Mazedude track?
