ReMixer JH Sounds has released his first album with Giggling Robot Records, entitled Genuine EP.  The EP, released November 11 2010 contains 4 tracks.

Nobuooo Presents: Videogame Music in Context Kickstarter

Jeriaska of Nobuooo has been busy interviewing your favorite Video Game Music composers to create Videogame Music in Context: DVD Interview Series.  In Japan artists include Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Hip Tanaka (Game Boy Camera) interview by Baiyon, Hideyuki Fukasawa (Super Street Fighter IV),Hideki Sakamoto (echochrome ii), Noriyuki Asakura (Tenchu 4), Takashi Tokita and Naoshi Mizuta (Final Fantasy Legends), Independent artists include Baiyon (PixelJunk Lifelike), Dan Paladin (Castle Crashers), Daisuke Amaya(Cave Story), Shinji Hosoe & Ayako Saso of SuperSweep (Prismatic Solid),Nigoro (La-Mulana), Takashi Iura (PixelJunk Monsters) and other independent game creators to be announced soon.

Outside of the interviews, the project has entailed filming live chip music performances for Nullsleep’s Collapsed Desires tour for a separate DVD. In addition, Spanish developer Locomalito is working with our site to create for their game Hydorah a 2-disc CD soundtrack and remix album.

This project will be funded through Kickstarter.  For as little as $10 you can receive access to DVD content as soon as it is released online.  For $30 you will receive a physical DVD.  The more you choose to donate, the more you will receive.

Mazedude’s 50th ReMix posted on OverClocked ReMix

Mazedude, aka Christopher Getman has joined the ranks of djpretzel and Protricity by having 50 remixes posted on Overclocked ReMix.  “All Outta Gum,” a Duke Nukem 3D ReMix is a fun and quirky homage to the original, complete with retro samples and charm.  Congratulations on having 50 posted ReMixes, Mazedude!  What’s your favorite Mazedude track?

Game Music 4 All Presents: B-Type – Haunts

Random and K-Murdock Announce Bits and Rhymes Tour

Random AKA MegaRan and K-Murdock have announced they will be performing a Southwest to Southeast tour called Bits and Rhymes starting November 12, 2010.  Earlier this year, the duo released Forever Famicom, a full length CD tribute to classic gaming with covers of songs from games such as Mega Man, Chrono Trigger, Star Fox and more.  You can Forever Famicom on CD or listen to previews of the songs here.  Both Random and K-Murdock have released solo albums since the release of this CD, Random with Heroes, Volume 1, and K-Murdock with DECADEnce, Volume 1.

Christmas Collections – Music from Square Enix

Square Enix has announced they will be releasing a Christmas Collections album on 11/24/2010.  The album contains holiday versions of songs from the Final Fantasy series, Legend of Mana, Live-a-Live and more.  The album can be pre-ordered from the Square Enix store, Sony Music Shop, or  A preview of songs are available on a YouTube playlist provided by Square Enix.
