OverLooked RemiX

It has recently come to my attention that OverLooked Remix hasn’t been getting much attention here. So, I will take it upon myself to bring all of you news from our fair little site.
Our Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time project finally has a name “OLRina Of Time” and needs more remixers and art for new sigs.

A mini flood of new remixes came yesterday, with remixes by big names like analoq and mythril nazgul, so be sure to check those out, along with all the other new remixes on the site.

Doujin spotlight: Music Fantasy Tactics 2

Music Fantasy Tactics 2, the followup to last year’s FF Tactics/Advance arrangement project, has now finally been officially unveiled.
Organized by Dynastess, it features 26 tunes and 25 participants.
Definitely worth checking out for any fan of FFT or just good music in
general.

The tracks can be downloaded here. (Note: The files are compressed using the LZH format, so you will need an appropriate program to extract the MP3s).

“A CELEBRATION OF AVERAGENESS”

In radio, we’re always discussing “the best of”, or “the worst of”. To break the cycle, we’ll be doing a show that’s just okay.
Not wonderful. Also, we’ll be talking about our favorite mediocre
movies and games and comics and stuff. To suggest something average,
use the toll-free number listed above.

Ending Time: 21:00

Chrono Cross OST in print once more

It is a shame that we didn’t pay enough attention to figure this out
when it occurred a month ago, but it turns out that the “new Chrono
Cross arrange” noted by Mitsuda in January is actually a reissue of the
Chrono Cross Original Soundtrack. Procyon-Studios notes that demand was
so high that Square Enix authorized new copies to be printed.
This all went down June 16th, and copies of Mitsuda’s Creid album are
also in print again. You can grab them from Amazon.com’s Japanese
equivalent; these are the URLs Mitsuda provides us:

Chrono Cross OST
Creid

Get them while they’re hot! Amazon should have facilities for US users who wish to buy Japanese goods there.

Correction:  It turns out the cross arrange is still
planned. mitsuda has it on his calendar at

MTV Nominates Soundtracks

Consoles these days are capable of delivering extraordinary audio, but
it’s not an aspect every company pays attention to. When someone does,
as was the case with Katamari Damacy,
people pay attention. MTV is sort of honoring this ideal with their
‘Best Video Game Soundtrack’ award, part of their annual upcoming Video
Music Awards.
